Today, I'm sending you this flyer announcing a really wonderful class on hand and foot massage. I'm offering at Toosie's Nail Spa on Friday, August 2 from 4 - 6:30 PM. I will be teaching specific techniques to do anytime anywhere that support easing tension and supporting flexibility specifically for your hands, feet, arms and legs. The first of five forums is set for 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 15 in the Vic Dirksen Auditorium at the hospital in Port Townsend.... (A 3rd forum is) planned for July 10 in Port Ludlow,... Hospital officials note that the information presented at each forum is the same. (article in PTLeader)

Press Release: Jefferson Healthcare to host Community Forum in Port Ludlow
Jefferson Healthcare is hosting the third of five community forums on July 10, 2013 beginning at 3:30 pm at the Port Ludlow Bay Club on Spinnaker Road. The Community Forum is considered a special Commission Meeting. These Community Forums have been an opportunity for the community residents to hear about potential plans for expanding the services and facilities to meet current and future demands for healthcare in Jefferson County. Mike Glenn, CEO will present information on the existing conditions with medical facilities, healthcare services and ancillary support at the hospital and identify the needs driving the necessity to strategically plan for future impacts of a growing and aging community and the changes with the Affordable Healthcare Act. The community is invited to give their input on how they would like to see Jefferson Healthcare meet their healthcare needs and improve medical services in the future.

This is a brief reminder that there are two important Jefferson Healthcare events
(here in Port Ludlow) tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10. Both events deserve PL residents'
participation, provide opportunities to share healthcare related information and show to
the commissioners, management and staff of Jefferson Healthcare that we are deeply
interested and concerned about expansions of healthcare facilities in Port Townsend,
improvements in quality of services provided, and Jefferson Healthcare's outreach to
    Port Ludlow.
    1) Wednesday, July 10, Noon - 2p.m. :
Port Ludlow Clinic's Second Anniversary celebration at 9481 Oak Bay Road
("in the Heart of Port Ludlow") "with an Ice Cream Social"
    2) Wednesday, July 10, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. at the Bay Club: Jefferson Healthcare Community
Forum and Special Commission Meeting featuring JHC CEO Mike Glenn, commissioners and
staff. This meeting is "an opportunity for the Port Ludlow Area residents to hear about
potential plans for expanding the services and facilities to meet current and future demands
    for healthcare in Jefferson County."
While these are not events sponsored by the PLVC Wellness Committee,
the Committee is greatly interested in supporting all opportunities for Port Ludlow residents
to stay informed about and provide feedback and suggestions for healthcare developments
    affecting our Village.
